Who is Krish Himmatramka from Do Amore on Shark Tank?

Krish Himmatramka is entering the Shark Tank in season 13 to pitch his company, Do Amore to the sharks. He founded his company in 2014 and is now looking for investors to join him in his diamond business. Find out more about this inspiring entrepreneur.

Krish is 34 years old and lives in Houston, Texas. This is where he founded his company, Do Amore.

Education

He attended The University of Texas at Austin and graduated with a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering in 2010.

Career

He started his career as a product & manufacturing engineering intern at Procter & Gamble from 2008-2009.  Krish worked in Cincinnati, Ohio. He says his first experience in this field surprised him. “I was shocked that it took weeks of drilling for us to hit oil, but just hours to hit the water,” he said.

It then appears that he lived in Anchorage, Alaska for a little while when he worked for BP as a drilling and petrophysics engineering intern.  

He began his journey into entrepreneurism in 2012 when he co-founded a company called The Great Canvas.  They operated from 2012 – 2014.  

Krish lists that he is the sole founder of Do Amore, based out of Houston, Texas.  According to his LinkedIn, he describes the business as the “conflict-free engagement ring and wedding ring startup.”

Humble Beginnings

Krish Himmatramka began Do Amore by conducting research and definitely saving up. After working on an oil rig with very low living costs, he managed to save up just under $20,000. This was just enough to startup his business, Do Amore.

When he started pitching his idea, he was met with many rejections. However, that didn’t stop this motivated entrepreneur. He kept going! One day he came in contact with a manufacturer that believed in him and in his idea. The credibility he gained from working with this manufacturer gave him the green light to start spreading the word about Do Amore.

A few years ago, Krish landed a spot on Forbes.com in an article titled Meet Krish Himmatramka, An Entrepreneur Making Engagement Rings Ethical. He describes his journey and obstacles he faced while launching Do Amore. You can check it out here.

Family Life

Krish may be a very busy entrepreneur but he also makes time for his family. He shared a sweet photo holding his son who was turning 1 in January 2021.

He also posted a photo of his wife and other son, Romir. Krish captioned the photo, “Witnessing the love and silly friendship you and Romir share is the best part of my day, every day! Happy Mother’s Day Love.”

He is a fan of Teslas, writing “Finally!🙂 #teslamodel3”

Shark Tank Spot

Krish was very happy to announce his appearance on ABC’s “Shark Tank” in season 13. “I am so excited to talk all about @doamore tomorrow on @sharktankabc! Nervous but ready. Tune in at 7 pm CST on ABC! #sharktank”
